Glenda, September 2007 Volunteer of the Month

Our volunteer of the month for September is Glenda Tate. Glenda has served on the Child Advocates board since April of 2005 and currently lends her talents to Child Advocates as the Board President. Glenda has shown tremendous commitment to Child Advocates. She is not only our Board President once a month at board meetings… she is always busy working on something for Child Advocates. She is in contact with the staff and other board members on a weekly basis to help with financials, fundraising efforts, and publicity. Just last month, Glenda secured a $3,000 sponsorship for our Gateway to Texas Pro-Am Charity Golf Classic. In June, Glenda sacrificed part of her time off work to attend a 3-day Nonprofit Institute hosted by The Priddy Foundation. Since the institute Glenda has been instrumental in making changes to improve the efficiency of board meetings. Recently, she has taken an interest in board development and shares educational information with board members as part of each monthly board meeting. We are so grateful to have Glenda as our Board President.
