We know you do incredible work and we certainly don't want to give you busy work, but we do want to make sure all of the countless hours you spend helping the children in our community are counted- so the community and our funders are aware of what great work our volunteers do!

Volunteer Hours & Case Notes Are Due the 10th of Each Month
(Or the next business day if the 10th falls on a weekend or holiday)

Please fax, mail, or drop off your hours and case notes. Don’t forget to sign your log!

Activity & Contact Log:

Why do I need to record my hours and turn them in?
Reporting hours is VERY important. We report all volunteer hours to our funders, who look at the level of community involvement when granting funds in the future.

What if I do not have any hours this month?
Please call or email and let us know. When we don't hear from you (especially when you are on a case) we have no way of knowing whether you have hours and forgot to report them, or if you do not have any hours for the month.

What form do I need to use to record my hours?
We have a Contact & Activity Log, for recording volunteer hours. See the links above.

Can I record multiple months on the same sheet?
You can, but we would prefer that your hours were separated by month as it makes recording and filing easier. When multiple months are on one log, we have to make duplicate copies and separate out the totals for each month.

Can I record multiple cases on the same log?
Separate cases MUST be on separate logs, because the logs are copied and placed in the case files.

When are hours due?
Hours are due the 5th of each month (or the next business day if the 5th falls on a weekend or holiday).

What if I forget to turn in my hours by the 5th?
If you forget to turn your hours in by the 5th, just get them to us as soon as you can. If you have past months that you have not turned in yet, please turn those in as well. Better late than never.

Can I turn in my log before the end of the month?
If you know you will not be doing any more work on a case or you will be going on vacation, you are more than welcome to turn in your contact log early.

Who do I need to give my log to?
The Executive Assistant is in charge of keeping track of hours, but log sheets can be mailed, faxed or dropped by the office and given to anyone on staff. They will get your log to the right person.
