Mary, April 2008 Volunteer of the Month
 

Child Advocates is proud to announce that Mary has been named Volunteer of the Month in April.

Mary is one of those volunteers who always answers the call. Whether it’s serving on one of her cases, helping to work a recruitment booth, wrap presents at Santa’s House or serving on a fundraising committee, she’s there with a dependable smile and great attitude. Her commitment to Child Advocates and being the best advocate for her cases is paramount to her. As evidence of this she has attended over 30 hours of continuing education courses this year—well beyond the 12 hours required of all volunteers.

A CASA since 2005, she has been assigned to 3 cases serving 12 children. “She writes great court reports and is meticulous with her case notes,” says Case Supervisor Valarie Vela, “I know that I can always count on Mary to do a great job.”
